Athletes as role models
Athletes are role models whether they like it or not. What they say and what they do is followed so closely and scrutinized that they have to do everything right. When little kids are looking up to you as an athlete and want to be like you when they grow you have set a good example for them. If an athlete breaks the law but gets off easy because they are famous some little kid might think that they also will get away with committing that crime. Athletes are human and make mistakes but they are criticized a lot more then someone who is not a public figure. I think athletes have to try a lot harder then other people to stay out of trouble because other people look up to them and they have a lot more to lose. Everybody has flaws but their flaws are unfairly magnified.
